YAAACE is a Black-led, Black-focused, and Black-serving organization providing culturally reflective programs and services to mitigate the opportunity gap for racialized and under-resourced communities.
Founded in 2007, YAAACE serves 1000+ families and clients annually in a range of programs related to academics, athletics, expanded opportunities, employment, and violence prevention and intervention. YAAACE has nearly two decades of experience working with multiple partners, stakeholders, and all three levels of government to deliver programs and services, as well as engage in data-driven knowledge mobilization and publications.
YAAACE's mandate is to build capacity in all children and youth, enhancing their ability to become twenty-first century leaders and global citizens.
The NALE Program embodies YAAACE’s commitment to engaging Black children and youth, offering a rich educational, athletic, and social experience during the summer months.
This program plays a crucial role in addressing academic achievement gaps and providing access to enriching social and academic experiences, led by Certified Ontario Teachers, coaches, youth leaders, and more.
The NALE Program is twofold: to improve students' literacy and numeracy skills and to offer expanded opportunities in technology and science.
