On a mission to empower our community

YAAACE is a Black-led, Black-focused, and Black-serving organization providing culturally reflective programs and services to mitigate the opportunity gap for racialized and under-resourced communities.

Founded in 2007, YAAACE serves 1000+ families and clients annually in a range of programs related to academics, athletics, expanded opportunities, employment, and violence prevention and intervention. YAAACE has nearly two decades of experience working with multiple partners, stakeholders, and all three levels of government to deliver programs and services, as well as engage in data-driven knowledge mobilization and publications.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHT:

Summer Institute

YAAACE's mandate is to build capacity in all children and youth, enhancing their ability to become twenty-first century leaders and global citizens.

The Summer Institute embodies YAAACE’s commitment to engaging Black children and youth, offering a rich educational, athletic, and social experience during the summer months.

This program plays a crucial role in addressing academic achievement gaps and providing access to enriching social and academic experiences, led by Certified Ontario Teachers, coaches, youth leaders, and more.

The Summer Institute is twofold: to improve students' literacy and numeracy skills and to offer expanded opportunities in technology, science, and the arts.

This seven-week Summer Institute will run from Wednesday, July 3rd to Friday, August 16th, from 9 am to 3:30 pm.
