YAAACE Summer Institute

Introduction

Summer camps should be a fun and exciting experience for campers; it should allow campers the opportunity to develop important life skills and long lasting friendships. The ages 11-17 are critical years in the development of a young person’s life. They need a wide variety of activities that are not only fun but also help to develop life skills. The programs developed in this camp put the above benefits at the forefront.

Overview of Program Development

Because of the age group of our campers, we must insure that our activities and events are both fun and safe. The age difference between a 17 and 11 year old must be considered in modeling our games and events. The games and events must still be fun and challenging for the campers.
